What is the difference between 24k,18k,14k,10k,and 9k gold?
The “k” stands for karat, which measures the purity of gold out of 24 parts:
24k gold:99.9% pure gold (rich yellow color, softest, often used in fine or traditional jewellery).
18k gold:75% gold + 25% alloy (luxurious, durable, good balance of purity and strength).
14k gold:58.5% gold + alloy (popular for everyday wear, strong and affordable).
10k gold:41.7% gold (very durable, lighter in color, most affordable option in real gold).
9k gold:7.5% gold (commonly used in some countries, durable, paler tone).
The lower the karat, the more alloy metals are mixed in, which makes the piece harder and more durable but slightly less rich in gold color. Higher karats are softer, richer in color, and more valuable.
Will your jewelry make my skin irritated?
We do not carry gold-filled or gold-plated products. All our jewelry is made from real gold. If you have a metal allergy, we recommend carefully checking the product description and choosing higher karat gold pieces (e.g., 18k or 24k) to reduce the risk of irritation.
Will your gold jewelry tarnish?
No, solid 24k and 18k gold jewelry does not tarnish, although it may develop a natural patina over time. Proper storage and occasional cleaning help maintain its shine.
How can I tell the gold purity?
Each piece is hallmarked if the size allows, indicating its karat (e.g., 24k or 18k). Small items that cannot be hallmarked still meet the stated purity standards.
How should I care for my gold jewelry?
Avoid harsh chemicals (e.g., bleach, chlorine).
Store pieces separately to prevent scratches.
Clean gently with mild soap and water or a soft polishing cloth.
Can I buy a gift card?
Yes! Gift cards are available and a perfect way to let someone choose their favorite piece.
What if my jewelry gets damaged?
If your jewelry gets damaged, we recommend taking it to a local professional jeweler for repair. They can safely handle gold pieces and restore your jewelry without compromising its quality.
what does different “g” (grams) of gold mean, and will it affect the size of the jewelry?
The “g” stands for grams, which measures the weight of the gold in the piece. A higher gram weight usually means a heavier and more substantial piece, but it does not change the ring size or overall dimensions — it simply affects thickness, weight, and feel. Lighter pieces may feel more delicate, while heavier pieces feel sturdier on the hand or wrist.
Is my gold jewelry hollow or solid?
Whether a piece is hollow or solid depends on its gram weight. Lighter pieces may be hollow to achieve a delicate look while keeping them wearable, whereas heavier pieces are typically solid gold. We always specify the weight in the product description so you know exactly what you’re getting.
